CRUX

Valley's Student Ministry

Here at Crux, we are committed to helping students cultivate an everywhere, everything faith – a faith that permeates their entire lives and transforms them to look more like Jesus. We pursue this vision by giving students opportunities to encounter Jesus, know and love Him more, follow Him, and be transformed by Him.

We pursue this vision and mission guided by the following values:

Gospel – Jesus is the center of who we are and everything we do.

Romans 1:16-17; Philippians 3:8-10.

Community – We chase together and encourage one another.

Acts 2:42; Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 10:24-25.

Discipleship – We help one another and others to look more like Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:1.

Scripture – We let the Holy Spirit use Scripture to guide, encourage, and correct us.

Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16.

Service – We put our faith into action.

James 2:14-17; 1 John 2:6.

Wednesday Night | 6:30-8:30 pm

If you want to come check out Crux, we would love to have you swing by on a Wednesday night! Doors officially open at 6:00 PM for students to come in, hang out with friends, grab some snacks, and play some games. Shortly after 6:30 PM, our programming officially kicks off with a large group game followed by a small stage game to wind down and focus up. Once we're locked in, we jump into a time a worship followed by a message and small groups. The night winds down around 8:30 PM, with students usually being ready to be picked up starting around 8:45 PM. Door officially close at about 9:00 PM.

Sunday morning | 10:30-11:30 am

On Sunday mornings, students are invited to come to Flapjack Fellowship after the service for some pancakes, community, and time well spent growing closer to Jesus. During this time, students break out into small, student-led Bible studies and discuss the passage from the church service. The goal of these Sunday morning Bible studies is to (1) give students the confidence to explore Scripture for themselves and (2) equip students to lead these same kinds of Bible studies with their friends and peers. To aid in this equipping process, we partner with a phenomenal ministry called Collision, which specializes in equipping students to know the Gospel, share their faith, and make disciples. If we have any time remaining in the morning, we spend it on the 4-square court. It's a blast, and we would love for your student(s) to join us!
